Platinum: Works out of the box
No tweaks needed. Launch and play.

Usually just needs a specific Proton version or a launch option. The ProtonDB comments explain exactly what to do.
Silver: Runs with issues
Playable but expect crashes, missing audio, or graphical glitches.
Bronze: Significant problems
Runs but not really enjoyable. Check ProtonDB for workarounds.
Borked: Does not run
Usually caused by kernel-level anti-cheat that has no Linux support.
Anti-Cheat
Most games work on Linux through Proton without any issues. The ones that don’t almost always come down to anti-cheat.
EasyAntiCheat and BattlEye
Both support Linux natively. According to Epic’s own documentation, enabling Linux support for a game requires the developer to opt in through their developer portal and ship one prebuilt Linux binary alongside the game. That is the full extent of the work required on their end.
It is a deliberate choice not to support Linux Some developers have enabled this and their games work fine on Linux. Others haven’t, not because it is technically difficult, but because they don’t consider Linux a priority, don’t want to support an additional platform, or believe Linux is less secure for anti-cheat purposes.

Kernel-level anti-cheat
Cannot work on Linux Kernel-level anti-cheat systems run as drivers inside the Windows kernel. Linux cannot load Windows kernel drivers and no compatibility layer can change that. Games using Vanguard or Ricochet will not run on Linux.
